Who Loves You, Baby?
Sharing with you a few "devos" from this past week | Random Thoughts | Grace & Glory | Jesus Christ | Christianity
What an Amazing God We Have
If you’re a not-yet follower of Jesus Christ, please come along on this journey with us. You are welcome here.
And, I invite you to read my series on the book “What Does God Want?”.
In my January 19th post, under the heading “Worry”, I mention the 365-day devotional book my friend and Jesus sister and I are reading through each morning: “Grace & Glory” by pastor Louie Giglio. Select the link above to learn more.
I’m enjoying this book very much, and wanted to share a few “devos” (devotional readings) from this week with you all, especially as we journey through February, the “month of love”. There’s nothing better than God’s love!
God Almighty Is with You
1 Kings 8:57 (BSB)
57 May the LORD our God be with us, as He was with our fathers. May He never leave us or forsake us.
Almighty God, the Creator, the Lord of the Universe, is with me, with us! And, because of Christ Jesus and through the Holy Spirit, He lives in us! No other religion, no other spiritual faith, offers this incredible relationship.
Lord God, help us to better communicate this with the lost, in a way that would be winsome and delightful to them, that would create hunger in them to want You, to repent, and to be redeemed by You. Amen!
Daily Drawing Close to Jesus
Psalm 145:18 (BSB)
18 The LORD is near to all who call on Him,
to all who call out to Him in truth.
Oh, again, what a wonderful faith to have, that God is our Good Shepherd. Dear Lord Jesus, I want to stay as close to You as I can, even during mundane, daily tasks. You are always with me. I want to live each day with You in mind, walking with me, as my Good Shepherd. Amen.
Aligned in Christ’s Sufficiency
2 Corinthians 3:5 (BSB)
5 Not that we are competent in ourselves to claim that anything comes from us, but our competence comes from God.
“Thanks to Jesus, we sit at a banquet table every day—our cups are constantly overflowing.”
~Louie Giglio, page 40.
If only I lived this every single day! Father God, I tend to wake up with feelings, thoughts, of deficiency, of lack:
The sin nature in me until I die
My physical weaknesses
Do I ever wake up living in the fullness of “every spiritual blessing” that You’ve given me through Your Son? (Ephesians 1:3) Abba, let’s shift my paradigms! Let’s make this true for me every morning, knowing that I sit at Jesus’ banquet table every day, with cups overflowing with your blessings. Amen.
The Story of Eternal Life
John 11:25 (BSB)
25 Jesus said to her [Martha], “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in Me will live, even though he dies.”
“He came to secure the ending of your story, and He was the only one capable of rewriting that script.”
”Redeemed to be with Him forever.”
~Louie Giglio, page 41.
Jesus has secured the ending of my life story. Abba, amen, so true! What Jesus has done for me on the cross and through the empty grave cannot be undone. The ending of my earthly life is secured in Him. Amen.
Maranatha, come Lord Jesus.
Soli Deo Gloria!

A simple good morning prayer of faith 2/9/25
THE LORD LOVES US! YES, GREAT IS HIS LOVE TOWARDS US.
"So that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. Then you, being rooted and grounded in love, will have power, together with all the saints, to comprehend the length and width and height and depth of the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God." Ephesians 3: 17-19 BSB
Good morning, Good GOD in Heaven above, the one who has done marvelous things on our behalf. Truly, we had no hope for a better future. We had all lost our way, living without even knowing the one who Loves us most.
Thank You, LORD, for Loving and saving us. Please bless everyone who reads this letter today with Your Love. Remind us once more of Your Great Love for us, a Love so magnificent that it surpasses all knowledge, a Love so powerful that it will endure forever. Yes, LORD, Great is Your Love for us!
In Jesus' Holy Name, we pray. Amen
Know and remember the LORD's Loving devotion for us will endure forever.
"Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good. His loving devotion endures forever." Psalm 136:1 BSB
Thank You, LORD!
GOD bless you all!
Below is a song just for you.

We have a snow day today, and so I'm hosting "pajama church" on our church's zoom. Informal, no sermon, but these are really helpful in focusing my mind before leading us in prayer and contemplation together online. Nice timing. Thank you.
