I don't merely believe you merely learn from life's storms, but your character can actually change.

My thoughts are exactly the same!

I'm the same as you, a Believer with much maturing to do, and I do pray for unbelievers and for our nation, our world. Even after months of studying my Bible and the corresponding Verse by Verse ministry, I still have so many questions about my past relatives and if they indeed are in Heaven because yes, they Believed, yet they didn't necessarily lead a life of service, and neither do I. I'm trying, like you, in my own way. I have a blog and have devoted Sundays to relate my version of a Sunday Message. But its not enough, nothing we can do is! My parents were Catholic. My father was devout in his belief. He was, in my opinion, a saint for working all of his life on top of taking care of my ailing and hard to deal with Mother. Surely he is in Heaven.

Sorry, I'm babbling. But to say I'm concerned is an understatement.

Thanks for babbling, Kim, your comment is welcome here. The wonderful news is any and all of our works are as filthy rags in God's sight, and that's why...Jesus!

He is our righteousness. We put on Christ, we've been crucified with Him, and we no longer live; He lives in us!

We can now rest in Him, and be His ambassadors to the people around us. Sure, we need to stand firm and hold fast, yes, we need to take our "spiritual pulse" every morning upon waking and confess daily our believing loyalty to our Adonai, our Triune God. For we are also soldiers in spiritual warfare, and our enemy is fierce.

But greater is He who is in us than he (a created being with a terminal future) who is in the world.

If you ever go to YouTube, look up these channels and watch some of their videos:

Surrender your concerns about your past relatives to the Lord, for He's the One to carry that burden for you.

Remember, you cannot earn God's love and favor; you already have it. And Jesus' righteousness that's yours covers a multitude of sins.

Confess daily, and then get up off your knees as a beloved and cherished daughter of our great and mighty King of kings and Lord of lords!

Maranatha!

Just wondering, why does the same comments section keep coming up from your previous posts?

No worries Night Owl, that was my question back in March. I figured it out, if you press "leave comment" from the middle of your post it goes here, but if you push "comments" from the bottom of the post, next to the like button, it goes to the ones that are relevant to the post.

Substack controls how posts are viewed. I do know viewing Substack publications in a web browser is a bit easier than on the Substack mobile app. Hope this helps.

Tonight my pastor preached about Palm Sunday. He said many of those who were saying Hosanna, Hosanna on that day were five days later yelling "crucify Him, crucify Him!". He wanted to point out how many Christians will fold when confronted with the persecution that is coming.

It’s a very sobering thought, and I pray my posts here will encourage believers to stand firm.

Thank you Night Owl. Surfing a social media site is sort of like going out into the world, the good, bad, and the ugly, but trusting in Jesus is like returning home after a long day out, safe, stable, and comforting.

You're right, if the Bible sits on our shelf and never gets in our hearts, it doesn't do us any good!

Thank you, Jenise, for your words spoken here were done so by a wise woman.

Just give us JESUS!

"They had taken their eyes off God and put them on their circumstances." Jenise

"Suddenly, a fierce Storm Struck."

Matthew 8:23-27 NLT: "23. Then Jesus got into the boat and started across the lake with his disciples. 24. Suddenly, a fierce storm struck the lake, with waves breaking into the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. 25. The disciples went and woke him up, shouting, "Lord, save us! We're going to drown!"

26. Jesus responded, "Why are you afraid? You have so little faith!" Then he got up and rebuked the wind and waves, and suddenly, there was a great calm.

27. The disciples were amazed. "Who is this man?" they asked. "Even the winds and waves obey him!" Matthew 8:23-27 NLT

How Great art Thou?

Let us pray. . . LORD, how Great art Thou? in that You would be here as the storms of life come upon us. Yes, storms will come, but You will not worry. You are the one who made all things. Everything is in Your control. You are still beside us even when we can't see past the crashing wind and waves. How wonderful is the LORD, how Great is He, who would calm all our storms, so let us praise Him and acknowledge His everlasting Love for us and His presence in our life. He is here now, so let us rejoice and be glad. Amen

How Great art Thou?

Psalm 107:28-31 NLT: 28. "LORD, help!" they cried in their trouble,

and he saved them from their distress.

29. He calmed the storm to a whisper

and stilled the waves.

30. What a blessing was that stillness

as he brought them safely into harbor!

31. Let them praise the LORD for his great love

and for the wonderful things he has done for them." Psalm 107:28-31 NLT

Just give us JESUS!

GOD bless you all!

Amen, Jessamyn, God is good! I'm grateful for your comment as I did struggle with this post. When I hit the button to publish, I felt a touch of inadequacy, and I asked Jesus to take this post and use it through His power and love.

All glory to King Jesus!

So relevant Jenise! I'm a big 'be prepared' kind of guy but you're so right; oh I know this world, I got this down. Yeah, I know those verses. They need to be in our spiritual backpacks everyday with our guide! Great words to start this year. (Glad your guide found you!)
