What Jesus Wants from You
When online social media does something good | Random Thoughts | Jesus Christ | Christianity

If you’re a not-yet follower of Jesus Christ, come on this journey with us.
You are welcome here.
And, I invite you to read my series on the book “What Does God Want?”.
When All You Have Is All He Wants
On October 19th, atheist-turned-Christian Lee Strobel tweeted a graphic with no written comment to his X(Twitter) account.
When I saw it, I choked up and started to cry.
I shared this image on my X(Twitter) account and also in a Note on Substack:
1 John 3:1-3 (BSB)
1 Behold what manner of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God. And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know Him. 2 Beloved, we are now children of God, and what we will be has not yet been revealed. We know that when Christ appears, we will be like Him, for we will see Him as He is. 3 And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as Christ is pure.
What love!
Abba, our Father God, gives us not only a new name and relationship (“children of God”), He gives us the very best He can ever give us: His beloved, cherished Son.
And, when we see Jesus one day, we will be like Him.
Stop. Take time and really, really think about this. Wow!
Matthew 3:16-17 (BSB)
16 As soon as Jesus was baptized, He went up out of the water. Suddenly the heavens were opened, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and resting on Him. 17 And a voice from heaven said, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased!”
So much love!
The Father and the Son have a relationship that in its very nature is love.
As children of God what does He want from us?
Our love.
For Him.
For our neighbors.
Jesus told us this is the most important commandment:
Mark 12:2-31 (BSB)
29 Jesus replied, “This is the most important: ‘Hear O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is One. 30 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ 31 The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ No other commandment is greater than these.”
A Simple Message Even for “Crusty Christians”
Whether you’ve been walking with Jesus for a week or for many decades, this simple message from Lee Strobel’s tweet is for you.
No matter what your week was like.
No matter what this coming week may be like.
All Jesus wants is you.
Come to Him just as you are, and allow Him to work His love in and through you.
1 John 4:15-19 (BSB)
15 If anyone confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. 16 And we have come to know and believe the love that God has for us. God is love; whoever abides in love abides in God, and God in him. 17 In this way, love has been perfected among us, so that we may have confidence on the day of judgment; for in this world we are just like Him.18 There is no fear in love, but perfect love drives out fear, because fear involves punishment. The one who fears has not been perfected in love. 19 We love because He first loved us.
We love because
He first loved us.
Maranatha, come Lord Jesus.
Soli Deo Gloria!

"COME, LORD JESUS, COME."
"Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven." Matthew 6:10 BSB
GOD bless you all!
"For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given, and the government will be upon His shoulders. And He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace
there will be no end.
He will reign on the throne of David
and over his Kingdom,
to establish and sustain it
with justice and righteousness
from that time and forevermore.
The zeal of the LORD of Hosts will accomplish this" Isaiah 9:6-7 BSB.
A simple prayer.
"Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." John 14:6 BSB
Dear LORD Jesus, You came to earth to bring hope to a people who had gone astray. You came to show us the way back to the Father. We had all lost our way. Not one of us was going in the right direction. Truly, we had all become blind because we didn't want You to be our King, ruling over us and telling us what to do. Yes, we wanted a government of our own making, a Kingdom we had made, but look at us now, LORD. Is this a government of peace, where justice and righteousness rule? Can it ever be right without You?
We need You now, LORD. More than ever, we want You. Only You can make things right. We cry out to You, asking You to forgive us for turning our backs on You, forgive us of our sins, make our hearts pure as we wait for You, so come, LORD Jesus, come, bring us Your hope once again, bring us Your peace, LORD only You are our King forever, so we pray may Your Kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven, in Jesus mighty Name. Amen.
Yes, this is our simple prayer.
Thank you, LORD!
"He who testifies to these things says, "Yes, I am coming soon." Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!" Revelation 22:20 BSB
