Real Hope: Christ Jesus, the assurance of better things to come, a confident expectation based on the LORD's faithfulness, a promised future, a hope that transcends the temporal, a hope with an eternal perspective.
"For with much wisdom comes much sorrow, and as knowledge grows, grief increases." Ecclesiastes 1:18 BSB
A prayer for all those saints bearing the weight of sorrow and grief from knowing what's happening in the lives of people among them and those beyond who are trying to live a life without the LORD.
"A cry for help"
We call upon You, our Father in Heaven, Abba. We cry out to You for help. Grief has burdened our souls because of great suffering in our midst. There is severe distress in the lives of people everywhere. Family, friends, and those beyond, a world that has lost its way. Hardships are happening on every corner. Peace has become elusive, like a mirage in the distance, an illusion. Only anguish, unrest, and uncertainty loom as people's sorrows, sufferings, and tragedies continue, as any real hope for relief from their miseries evades them.
LORD, they are all trying to live without You, hopelessly living a life apart from Your direction, a life of uncertainty and devoid of Your peace, aimlessly lost without real hope for a sure future.
"Rest in God alone, O my soul, for my hope comes from Him." Psalm 62:5 BSB
But amid this calamity, there is still real hope and peace. Jesus came to rescue everyone from this present evil age.
"For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to everyone. It instructs us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live sensible, upright, and godly lives in the present age, as we await the blessed hope and glorious appearance of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ." Titus:11-13 BSB
