What a wonderfully refreshing story, and to tag it as spiritual warfare - yes it is!! The battle isn't just 'military' in our thinking, it is in simple terms our everyday walk. Walking in the victory of Christ and the power (and empowerment) of His Spirit.

A beautiful story that has encouraged me to step outside my door a bit more often!

Great story Night Owl. Tell me something, when you pray for something do you say it out loud or in your mind? I am just wondering which way is better for you. Also, were you able to find that book I recommended?

Thank you for commenting! Praying: I do both ways, and mostly silent prayer as I'm rarely alone. Except in the early mornings, I pray out loud, and I begin by singing the Shema in Hebrew followed by the words in English. No way is "better" for me, just different.

Yes, I've added the book title to my list. Right now, I'm preparing for a deep-dive study of Revelation with a local friend/sister in Christ. That will take us weeks, Lol!

Yes, I usually pray in my mind unless it's grace before a meal. I have always been leery of the demonic hearing my prayers so I feel safer praying silently. I heard somewhere that only the Lord can hear silent prayer, I hope that is true.

Enjoy your Revelation study, it sounds like a timely one to do.

Great blog Jenise! This reminds me of that verse “overcome evil with good” Romans 12:21. Thanks for the encouragement to do that 😊

"Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God." 1 John 4:7 ESV.

Thank you, Jenise, for sharing how the LORD works through us to Love our neighbors and those beyond.

Love is, without a doubt, a powerful weapon against our enemies. It is often overlooked as effective at defeating the opposition. Thank you, Jenise, for this great insight and Godly wisdom.

LORD, help us love others, our neighbors, and everyone everywhere. Let Your Love in us be what defines us as Your family, we pray.

1 Peter 4:7-11 NLT

"The end of the world is coming soon. Therefore, be earnest and disciplined in your prayers.

Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love covers a multitude of sins."

GOD bless you all!

"...for love covers a multitude of sins." Amen, James!

It's so amazing that God not only works through us, He wants to work through us!

He chooses us, which is so humbling. The God of the universe, the Ancient of Days!

Yes, oh Lord, help us love others. Forgive us when we don't, and keep us on Your path. Amen.

Love the worship song, James. I like the phonetic pronunciation of the Hebrew lyrics, too!

I like this idea of loving our neighbors as spiritual warfare. I would think it would also apply to our neighbors who are not believers (yet). Perfect love casts out fear. What better way to overcome the evil in our world.

Amen, Jenn, it does apply to all our neighbors. Love your comment, thank you for sharing.

So many good verses are coming from you all. God is so good!

I would highly encourage spiritual warfare in our neighborhoods towns and cities, especially where people are gripped and bound by spiritual entities, the enemy satan and his entire kingdom of darkness. Amazing things are achieved by the power and move of Heavenly father through our prayers and petitions and allowing Jesus to impact himself upon individuals their lives, and entire communities breaking down strongholds & setting many captives free. There have been such cases of transformations taking place. I love these cases as described here: https://youtu.be/QTDK_L-X6tk?si=suwGKU8I5s1R7iUS

"...and setting many captives free." Yes, Hephzibah! That's what God's amazing love does; He sets us free, from sin and death.

That's a powerful video about Almolonga, Guatemala. They chose Jesus and severed ties with ancient worship/practices. Wow!
