There are times, and this is one of them, when I hear about alleged Christians speaking to wonderful people like Carl Teichrib and his friend I become very unChristian and I want to hit them. If He were walking the earth right now where do they think Jesus might be? Considering the attitude of these people I seriously doubt they would find Him in their church meetings. How can people claim to love Jesus, therefore love their brothers and sisters and yet sit in judgment on what God has called their brothers and sisters to do. I have to seriously doubt that those who are sitting in judgment have any kind of a relationship with Jesus Christ of Nazareth whatsoever, they are no better than the Pharisees in Jesus' day - hypocrites the lot of them.

PS I found out about your blog through Carl Teichrib, of course, who was amazingly helpful when I had a need.

Thank you, Julia, for reading and leaving a comment! Yes, Carl surprised me by posting the link to my article on his Facebook page. Wonderful surprise.

Paganism is growing, and there are many local events in large cities and small, rural towns. We all need to be open to going to the "playa" God wants us to visit. There are drum circles in the national forest that surrounds our town. There are music festivals, and why not set up a booth with cold water bottles, and tiny crosses with the words "Trust Jesus"!

The thing is, as Carl says so well in one of his presentations, these who follow paganism are "just people", and they long to be listened to, they long to be loved. I pray that all true Christ followers will pray and ask the Lord for their "playa".

Will we say, "Here I am, Lord, send me."?

Hey Jenise, awesome post -all day long! Imagine Jesus at burning man; you know he'd be showing up everywhere he's not supposed to! Every part of earth's geography, pits, mountains, valleys, off limit places, he'd absolutely be there. We just watchd 'The Sound Of Freedom '. Not supposed to be there, God's gonna show up. Thank you for the post. Push us out of comfort. ❤️

Will be interesting when He reveals the “playa” to me that He has in mind.

Fantastic article. So many times we see the religious elite of our day acting as though there are people not deserving of the gospel message. This attitude conveys the idea that our lives need to be cleaned up before we come to Christ. Yet we are to come to Him as we are and let Him change us to be more like Himself.

Thanks for highlighting this group. I’ll be praying about my “playa.”

Hello, Adam, and welcome!

Thank you for reading this post. I enjoyed writing it, and felt the topic came from the Lord.

Regarding your comment: Yes, the Lord loves us very much, more than we could ever comprehend, especially in our unredeemed sinful state, and He's so eager to rescue us, redeem us, save us from the curse and the evil ones. ("...while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.")

Loving the lost truly is a journey with the Holy Spirit's help. So many people are falling into the lie, the deception, that there are no "sins", no "sinful state" to repent of; they don't believe they need to repent. Repentance is crucial to the rescue Jesus offers. He took humanity's sin on Himself (He who knew no sin!!). The enemy is working overtime to convince people that they have no sin to recognize and confess to the Lord. This is where the Holy Spirit's work of conviction comes in. We are simply Christ's ambassadors, going into "foreign lands" and proclaiming His loving good news in the power of His Spirit.

I'm excited to see you'll be praying about your "playa". As the Lord chats with you about it, I hope you'll come back and let us know where He's leading you.

In His Grip and Grace,

~ NOC

A 2020 YouTube video recommended to me by Bob Worley.

It's so important for Christians to learn about what's going on with psychedelics, and how the usage movement is growing, and will enter some churches (or, "churches") soon:

A great reminder of Jesus's mission to seek and save the lost. To be honest...a place like burning man is the LAST place I'd want to go (for reasons Emmalene listed below), but He often calls us to places that are not necessarily pleasant or easy!

It's very easy for us to hide in our Christian ghettos, especially living in such a polarized world. You have reminded us that we have a mission! "What is my playa?" Is a great question we should all be asking!

Hello Jenise, bless you! For me personally I would not want to come close to an openly satanic and occult gathering such as burning man unless Holy Spirit was directing me to with absolute confirmation, & spiritual covering from my church. We should not fear the enemy but we must also be wise as serpents.

I love the way you love the lost as Jesus does & the Bible verses you wrote about are just beautiful. I love reading about the woman who washed Jesus feet with her hair, it touches my heart so much and reminds me of how good God is to us 🥰😍

Yes, Emmalene, discernment is always needed. And, much prayer. As of today, I don’t have His call to go to Burning Man. 😂 But I’m grateful others do. 🙌🏻

God is good, isn’t He! If you have a favorite post on your Substack about His goodness to you, feel free to reply with the link. Would love to read it.

So true Jenise, I must remember that many missionaries have ventured into far worse territory than burning man to bring Jesus light to those in the darkness.

I think you read my fave post already (All Things for Good) thank you so much 🤗 I'm hoping to put up another story soon 🙏 It's been a bit of a battle to get my writing posted. 🧡
