GOD bless you, Mark and Jenise. Thank you. I have a lot to add this morning because this topic is something we are all struggling with daily.

"May the LORD lift up His countenance toward you and give you peace." Numbers 6:26 BSB

UnGodly Distractions

"In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one." Ephesians 6:16 BSB

"How our enemies constantly try to distract us" ---- is a recurring theme that the LORD has been sounding the alarm on more lately than ever as His coming draws near. We are at war, beloved, and the onslaught of our enemy attacks come with unending persistence. What should our response be? The first thing we need to be aware of is that our enemies in the spiritual realm seek to distract us from keeping our focus on the LORD, and what He has called each of us to do, big or small. They are unrelenting in their efforts to take our attention off Him and put it on other things, which will attempt to cause a detour leading us in the wrong direction.

"As for God, His way is perfect; the word of the LORD is flawless. He is a shield to all who take refuge in Him." Psalm 18:30 BSB

Yesterday morning, prayer.

A simple good morning prayer of faith 5/17/25

Beware of Distractions that take our focus away from what we are called to do.

"Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth." Colossians 3:2 ESV

Father in Heaven, we ask, keep us focused on those things that You have called us to do for Your glory, don't let us become distracted, knocked off course, led in the wrong direction, made to lose sight of what we have been assigned to accomplish in Your Name. Guard our hearts and minds, keeping us free from being discouraged, from becoming weary of doing good, and from hearing Your voice instructing us to keep moving forward, to stay on the course, and continue persevering no matter the cost.

"For My yoke is easy and My burden is light." Matthew 11:30 BSB

Help us LORD to counter the attacks by minimizing our enemies distractions, meaning not to allow them to overwhelm us by making everything too complicated, keep things simple, don't do anything that the LORD hasn't called you to do, pray about it first, and wait for a sure response from Him before moving forward, His yoke is easy and His burden is light, remember this, there should be a peace in what you are doing even amid the battle.

"Peace, I leave with you; My peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled; do not be afraid." John 14:27 BSB

Our reliance and trust is in the LORD to keep us on His path, first and foremost, not in us or anyone else but Him to keep us where we should be, doing exactly what he has called us to do for Him, for His glory. Let Him use you to do His will, to equip you for the task at hand, whatever that might be. Now rest knowing that He is right beside us as we stay on course.

"Yes, Stay on Course."

1 "Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off every encumbrance and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with endurance the race set out for us. 2 Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3 Consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart." Hebrews 12:1-3-29 BSB

In Jesus' mighty Name we pray. Amen

Thank You, LORD!

GOD bless you all!
