What is the real failure in all the religions trying to play at presenting what they say the true Gospel is?

2 Thessalonians 1:11-12 Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of His goodness, and the work of faith with power: That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and ye in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Act 10:38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.

This is the true Gospel that was preached in all of Israel when Jesus walked the earth. The Work of Faith with Power! What was the entirety of the the Gospel Message being preached BEFORE Jesus ever even died on the Cross?!! It WASN'T that He was dead, buried and resurrected, obviously!

Why do you think these verses exists?

Romans 1:16  For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ (the Anointing): for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

Romans 15:19 Through mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God; so that from Jerusalem, and round about unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ (the Anointing).

Why do you think that exact Greek word Christos was untranslated in all the King James Bibles and used to hide the meaning of the one word that means Anointed One, i.e. CHRIST!

What did John the Baptist say?!

Mat 3:11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire. (The actual literal, unedited, translation here says "fire of the Holy Ghost".)

Luke 3:16 says the same thing.

The Mormons don't have it. The 7th Day Adventist don't have it. The Jehovah's Witnesses even say that miracles ministry has all passed away! Even the Southern Baptist tell that exact same lie!

When you read Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, what "GOSPEL that was preached" are they talking about everywhere that word is said in those four Gospel’s BEFORE Jesus ever died on the Cross?! Hmmm?!

Act 10:38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.

Is any thing called "Church" even telling you what the Gospel really is?

Thank you, Jenise, and GOD bless you for this excellent letter encouraging us to actively read the Bible daily to increase our biblical literacy.

I went to BibleHub's Topical Bible on the topic "Reading God's Word." day 5.

The first verse that came alive was "Joshua 1:8." which says. . .

"This Book of the Law must not depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. For then you will prosper and succeed in all you do." Joshua 1:8 BSB

Then I remembered Joshua and the tent of the meeting, which says in Exodus 37:11 that Joshua wouldn't leave the tent even after Moses had already returned to the camp. No, he'd stayed behind because he didn't want to leave the LORD's presence. Read about it in detail below for a better understanding.

The Tent of Meeting / Exodus 33:7-11 BSB

7 "Now Moses used to take the tent and pitch it at a distance outside the camp. He called it the Tent of Meeting, and anyone inquiring of the LORD would go to the Tent of Meeting outside the camp.

8 Then, whenever Moses went out to the tent, all the people would stand at the entrances to their own tents and watch Moses until he entered the tent.

9 As Moses entered the tent, the pillar of cloud would come down and remain at the entrance, and the LORD would speak with Moses.

10 When all the people saw the pillar of cloud standing at the entrance to the tent, they would stand up and worship, each one at the entrance to his own tent.

11 Thus the LORD would speak to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend. Then Moses would return to the camp, but his young assistant Joshua son of Nun would not leave the tent."

These four key phrases stood out.

-Key phrases-

1 "Anyone inquiring of the LORD would go to the Tent of Meeting outside the camp."

2 "and the LORD would speak with Moses."

3 "Thus the LORD would speak to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend."

4 "but his young assistant Joshua, son of Nun, would not leave the tent."

Surely, reading GOD's word (the Bible) will equip us to live in a way that is pleasing to the LORD, better enabling us to discern between good and evil truth and error. Also, as the Bible says below, we will be changed.

"Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God." Romans 12:2 BSB

But for most, the greatest part about reading the Bible is the LORD will speak to each of us individually, just like He did with Moses, face to face as a friend. Truly, we should all be like Joshua, too. When he was in the tent of meeting, he was not quick to leave because that was where the voice of the LORD could be heard loud and clear. Remember that the LORD is still speaking to us today through His written word, the Bible, just like he spoke to Moses and Joshua.

Hebrews 4:12-16 BSB

12 "For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it pierces even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow. It judges the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

13 Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight; everything is uncovered and exposed before the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.

14 Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to what we profess.

15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who was tempted in every way that we are yet was without sin.

16 Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need."

Yes, the LORD is still speaking to us all, loud and clear.

GOD bless you all!

There's deeper digging that average people don't do to find greater understanding of what the Bible is saying. The perfect example is asking any Christian what they think the word "peculiar" means from the time it was use in the 1600s when the Bible was codified in English. The word peculiar is only used twice in the New testament. Two different Greek words.

The Greek word in Titus 2:14 is defined in Strong's G4041 —periousios - being beyond usual, that is, special (one’s own): - peculiar.

The Greek word in 1 Peter 2:9 is defined in Strong's G4047 — peripoiēsis - acquisition (the act or the thing); by extension preservation: - obtain (-ing), peculiar, purchased, possession, saving.

The actual definition of the word "peculiar" - mid-15th century, "belonging exclusively to one person," also "special, particular," from Old French peculiaire and directly from Latin peculiaris "of one's own (property)," from Latin peculium "private property." The meaning "unusual, uncommon, odd" is by c. 1600 (earlier "distinguished, special, particular, select," 1580s.

This very understanding destroys the diminished meaning and insult of using the word 'peculiar' as nothing more than "weird" or "strange" in our conversation as Christians. We are God's "private property"! Our feeble understanding and use of the covenant word "friend" in the Bible, as it is seen or barely used by Christianity, as nothing more than a light acquaintance relationship with God Almighty, is disgraceful and disparaging to those that know the full meaning of the words regarding

God's "peculiar people".

True Biblical Wisdom is corrupted when the very meanings of the words are corrupted on the surface text that are supposed to give Biblical Literacy meaning. When the words you seek to live by aren't represented by the actual meaning of those words, you can't operate in True Biblical Wisdom.

Isn't it wonderful that, through Jesus Christ, the Anointed One, we are God's special, peculiar people! His beloved ones!

I love word studies, and appreciate the Bible study tools that allow us all to go back to the Hebrew and Koine Greek words and learn what they mean.

Thank you, brother James, for this wonderful message!

I so enjoyed how you reminded us all of young Joshua, and how he stayed in the Tent of Meeting.

Through Jesus, we are friends of God -- amazing!!
